Brush Stroke CH. 22

Mean Street, Wasteland

Monday, November 12th; 5:30 a.m.

Hiccup was outside practicing on his new abilities, which he had been doing from the moment everyone else went to bed. As he was practicing, his thoughts ran through his head faster than he could handle.

“UGH! I can’t think straight!” he complained. “I’m worried for my family, I’m puzzled about Eggman’s appearance, and I just can’t figure out how to properly control the Paint and Thinner!” As he finished his words, he punched the ground and sent a small shockwave through Mean Street. Only Renamon was woken up by the shockwave, and once she was fully awake, she went outside to check on Hiccup. She saw him kneeling down on the ground like he had been beaten down.

“Hiccup?” said Renamon. Hiccup didn’t respond for a minute, then he began to tense up like he was changing into his Werehog form. A few seconds later, he picked his upper-body up, yelled at the top of his lungs, turned into his Hydraulic form, and sent out several shockwaves that were double the amount of the first one that woke Renamon. After a minute and a half, Hiccup’s yelling had subsided and he became still with his arms sagging down.

“Would someone care to explain why everyone in this building was woken up?!” Elf asked scornfully. Renamon signaled Elf to keep quiet, then pointed in Hiccup’s direction.

“What’s he doin’?” Oswald asked. After Oswald asked, Hiccup fell flat on his front as if he had died. Renamon and the others walked over to Hiccup, and Issei began examining Hiccup. After a few minutes of examination, he looked at the rest of the group and said “He’s out cold! Alive, but asleep!”

“We should let him rest for now.” said Elf.

“Where does that leave us?” Mickey asked.

“We’re going to continue searching for his family!” said Renamon in a determined manner. “I promised him that I’d find his family and I don’t plan on breaking that promise!” Renamon proceeded to pick up Hiccup, then she warped back into the agency to put him in bed, warped back outside, and began forming a plan amongst the group. Once they decided on the plan, they split up to scour the four corners of Wasteland.

~~Several Hours Later~~

Mean Street, Wasteland

Monday, November 12th; 3:15 p.m.

Everyone gathered together in front of the Walt statue to report in.

“Alright, sound off....” said Renamon. “Any sign of Eggman or Hiccup’s family?” None of them answered.

“I don’t get it....” said Oswald. “We’ve searched everywhere and there’s still no sign of Hiccup’s family.”

“Wait!” exclaimed Mickey. “We haven’t looked INSIDE Mickey Junk Mountain!”

“There’s an interior?!” Elf said in surprise.

“We don’t have time to waste!” said Renamon. “Let’s head over to the mountain and search the inside!”

“That won’t be necessary!” said a mysterious voice. Renamon and the others looked towards the source of the voice, jolted in shock, and simultaneously yelled “EGGMAN!!” Eggman floated down in his cruiser and had Hiccup’s family tied up to a thick, steel plate that floated down behind him.

“I’ve become quite impatient with this game....” said Eggman. “So I’ve decided to bring the entertainment to you!”

“Before we get down to whomping your fat mustache....” said Elf. “Why don’t you tell us how you got here?”

“It’s quite a story, really....” said Eggman. He began telling the story about how he ended up in Wasteland, but Renamon and the others weren’t actually paying attention. Renamon telepathically asked Elf “What good is this going to do for us?”

“It’ll buy us some time for Hiccup to rest and wake up!” Elf thought to Renamon. Eventually the whole group began telepathically communicating to each other until Eggman finished his story. Once Eggman was done the acted like they had listened through the whole thing, then Issei cockily said “That’s a very interesting story, unfortunately it’s all gonna be for nothing!”

“Why’s that?” Eggman asked.

“By the looks of our odds against yours....” said Issei. “We’re about to ‘Scramble’ your badniks!”

“Issei....” said Elf. “Don’t....just....don’t!” Eggman launched his army of badniks at the heroes, but to Renamon and the others, beating them was like child’s play. Eventually, all of the badniks were turned into scrap metal, but Eggman didn’t seem the least bit deterred.

“Game over, Eggman!” said Renamon. “You’re fleet is scrapped and you’ve got nothing left!”

“Renamon look!” said Oswald. Hiccup’s family was frantically trying to say something to the heroes through the gags. Renamon communicated with Hiccup’s family and asked “What is it you’re trying to tell us?” Without hesitating, Hiccup’s family thought back to Renamon mentally screaming “LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!!!!” Renamon and the other heroes quickly turned around, but by the time they reacted, they were knocked out and caught by something.

~~Meanwhile in the Detective Agency~~

Minnie and Gus were vigorously shaking Hiccup in attempts to wake him up, but it was no good. Suddenly Renamon’s voice called out in Hiccup’s mind saying “Hiccup....I tried to save them....but I failed....I’m sorry....always remember that....I love you....” Hiccup’s eyes suddenly shot open and emitted a blinding, yellow light.

~~Back at the battle~~

Renamon and the others were dangling over the mouth of a mechanical version of Hiccup’s negative Blot Fuse form, about to be turned into burger meat. Out of nowhere, the seventh Chaos Emerald flew away from Eggman, towards the agency. The remaining six Chaos Emeralds joined up with the seventh and began to circle around. A blinding yellow light floated up into the middle of the circle that the Chaos Emeralds formed and the Emeralds began to increase their orbiting speed. An unfamiliar, female voice echoed a chant stating:

(The servers are the Seven Chaos. Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart....)

The voice paused as the yellow light began to shine brighter. The Metal Blot stared at the light and paid no attention to the other heroes. Another male voice continued the chant stating:

“The controller....SERVES TO UNIFY THE CHAOS!!”

The light vanished for a split second before exploding like a supernova. The light suddenly moved in front of Eggman and the Metal Blot while gently setting Hiccup’s family, Renamon, and the others down on the ground. Eggman looked behind himself and saw that the restraints that held Hiccup’s family were broken, then the Metal Blot looked at the arm that used to hold the heroes. Nothing happened to it for a moment, then sparks of electricity shot out of its arm and it fell to the ground with a clean cut in it. The light dimmed down, revealing Hiccup in a similar form as a Super Sayian 3, but his quills weren’t sagging down to the ground. Hiccup had gained six extra quills on his head and all twelve were in a triangular form.

“Hiccup....is that you?” Hiccup’s Sister asked. He opened his eyes to reveal that the were a metallic silver color, the same style as Goku’s Ultra Instinct form. He turned to look at everyone else and said “Everyone, get inside and get cover. Don’t come out until I tell you it’s safe.”

“I’m staying right here with you!” said Renamon. She held her ground next to Hiccup and suddenly began to glow, then a female robotic voice echoed:

[ARMOR DIGIVOLUTION!]

Renamon was Digivolving on her own through determination, and within the light that was emitting from her, there was a fire element symbol colored blue and gold.

[Renamon Armor Digivolve to....]

[CYBER KYUBIMON!]

Kyubimon has completely transformed into a Robotic, nine-tailed fox, covered in golden armor with blue fire decals on the tips of her tails, ends of her ears, and from her paws. Everything seemed similar to the original Kyubimon, except for the coloration and the blade-feathered wings on her back.

“C’mon guys, in here!” said Oswald as he signaled the others into the Penny Arcade. Mickey was the last one in; but, before he closed the door, he looked back at Hiccup and Cyber Kyubimon and said “Give that creep a good beat-down guys! Good luck!”.

“Now then....” said Hiccup as he popped his knuckles. “Let’s see how long this ‘Metal Blot’ lasts!” Hiccup and Cyber Kyubimon dashed towards the Metal Blot in different directions and began dealing massive blows to the monstrous robot. After several hits, the Metal Blot appeared to be unscathed, even without blocking. Once Hiccup and Cyber Kyubimon finished their first assault, the Metal Blot began regenerating it severed arm.

“Okay, so brute force won’t do the trick....” said Cyber Kyubimon in exhaustion. “So how do we destroy it?” Hiccup took a second to think, then he had an idea. He used Chaos Control to freeze time around himself and Cyber Kyubimon and began explaining how they could beat the Metal Blot. When they finished talking it over, Hiccup deactivated Chaos Control and they engaged their plan.

“HEY UGLY!!” shouted Hiccup as he flew around the Metal Blot. “SAY ‘AH’!” The Metal Blot roared in Hiccup’s face, then Hiccup jokingly said “Close enough!”, then he shot a pulse of Thinner into the Metal Blot’s mouth. The Thinner caused the Metal Blot to break down a bit, then Hiccup and Cyber Kyubimon landed side-by-side and began charging their attacks.

“You ready Cyber Kyubimon?” Hiccup asked.

“As I said before....” said Cyber Kyubimon. “As long as I’m with you....I’M ALWAYS READY!”.

“FINISH THOSE PESTS OFF NOW!!” Eggman commanded. The Metal Blot flew away to gain distance and began charging towards Hiccup and Cyber Kyubimon. The Metal Blot was only a few hundred feet away from Hiccup and Cyber Kyubimon when they simultaneously yelled “NOW!!”

“THINNER CANNON!!!” yelled Hiccup.

“FURY FLARE!!!” yelled Cyber Kyubimon. They both fired their attacks, point-blank into the Metal Blot’s mouth, causing the Metal Blot to inflate like a balloon until it finally popped. The sudden blast sent Eggman flying towards a portal leading out of Wasteland. Everyone in Mean Street went outside to see what happened, only to see a plume of smoke. A few minutes passed and everyone saw a large silhouette moving towards them, then the figure became clear.

“That’s the last time I use that form!” said Hiccup in exhaustion. Hiccup and Renamon emerged from the smoke with Renamon supporting Hiccup, who was limping. When the smoke cleared and the two of them became clearly visible, the entirety of Mean Street roared with excitement. When everyone began cheering, it felt like everything went silent for Hiccup and Renamon. They have never experienced this amount of celebration for their heroic actions before, so it felt like time suddenly froze before them. The crowd began traveling to Dark Beauty Castle to celebrate; and, as this happened, Renamon asked “Shall we take part as the guests of honor?”

“I don’t usually like being the guest of honor....” said Hiccup. “....but I hate disappointing people more, so let’s do it!”

~~Later That Night~~

Dark Beauty Castle, Wasteland

Monday, November 12th; 7:00 p.m.

Every toon in Wasteland gathered to the castle to celebrate the victory of Hiccup and his friends and family. Elf and Issei were at the snack bar stuffing their faces, Hiccup’s family went around and mingled with some of the major characters like Big Bad Pete, The Mad Doctor, The Gremlins, Ortensia, and more. Everyone seemed to be having the time of their lives when out of nowhere, a mysterious figure emerged from a ray of light. The toons cleared a path for the figure that lead to Hiccup and Renamon, then Hiccup welcomed the figure by saying “I’m surprised that you arrived....Yen Sid!”

“Hello Hiccup! Renamon!” said Yen Sid. Hiccup and Renamon walked over to Yen Sid and shook hands.

“Where are your friends and family?” Yen Sid asked.

“Right here sir!” said Hiccup’s Father. Yen Sid walked over to Hiccup’s friends and family and they formerly introduced themselves, then Yen Sid looked at Hiccup’s parents and said “You have a remarkable son—I hope you know that!”

“Believe me, we do!” said Hiccup’s Mother.

“In honor of your bravery and heroic deeds....” said Yen Sid. “....I wish to present special trophies to each one of you!” He started with Hiccup’s Father.

“Mr. Hedgehog....” he said. “....for you, I present a replica of my Magic Brush!”

“Thank you sir!” said Hiccup’s Father.

Madam Hedgehog....” said Yen Sid. “....for you, I present this medal!” Hiccup’s Mother examined the medal and noticed that there was a hidden image of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves inside.

“Thank you kindly, sir!” said Hiccup’s Mother with glee.

“Young Miss Hedgehog....” said Yen Sid. “....for you, I present this!” Yen Sid held out his hand towards her, then Abu, from Aladdin, climbed down his arm and jumped onto Hiccup’s Sister’s shoulder.

“Aw, Thank you!” said Hiccup’s Sister as she nuzzled Abu.

“Elf....” said Yen Sid. “....for you, I present this Blot Scythe! It has the ability to summon Blotlings at will, is virtually unbreakable; and, if you were to accidentally drop it in battle, it will retract straight back to you!”

“Thank you sir!” said Elf.

“Issei....” said Yen Sid. “....for you, I present these Paint-Chain Headphones. These headphones allow you to amplify your elemental powers!”

“Thank you so much sir!” said Issei.

“Dearest Renamon....” said Yen Sid. “....for you, I present these wrist guards! They will allow to utilize Paint and Thinner to your will, like Hiccup!”

“Thank you very much sir!” said Renamon.

“Another thing....” Yen Sid continued. “....Captain Hook wanted me to give you these robes! They’re exclusively made for the admiral ranks!”

“Thank you!” said Renamon. “Would you be so kind as to tell him that I appreciate the gift?” she asked.

“Certainly!” he said. “And Finally, Hiccup....”. As Yen Sid stated Hiccup’s name, Hiccup stood up straight like a soldier.

“No need to be so formal, child!” said Yen Sid. Hiccup relaxed his body a bit, then Yen Sis continued “For you, I present the Hero of Wasteland Pin! With this pin, you and your friends and family will be known as legendary heroes throughout Wasteland! In addition, I also present these....!” Yen Sid handed Hiccup a King’s Cape and a pair of Velcro-Strap Gloves. The right handed glove was turquoise colored and the left handed glove was bright-green colored.

“I-....I honestly don’t know what to say!” said Hiccup. He gave Yen Sid a warm hug and said “Thank you!”.

“You’re very welcome!” said Yen Sid as he patted Hiccup on the back.

“From this day forward, you are all welcome to visit Wasteland to your hearts content!” Yen Sid announced to Hiccup and his crew. “If you wish to visit, simply recite this chant....”. He cleared his throat and continued “Mirror, Mirror, on the wall! Take me to the world, forgotten by all!” Hiccup and the crew thanked Yen Sid and continued with the party, but Yen Sid walked off to the balcony.

“What’s up Yen Sid?” Hiccup asked. “Don’t you want to join the celebration?”

“I’d love to, but sadly I cannot!” said Yen Sid. “I have other matters to attend to. Thank you for the invitation though!”

“You’re welcome!” said Hiccup. “Safe travels and good luck on your work!”

“Thank you!” Yen Sid said as he began floating away. He was halfway to the opening of Wasteland when he turned around and said “Farewell Hiccup!”

“See ya around Yen Sid!” said Hiccup. Yen Sid eventually made it out of Wasteland and the portal closed behind him.

“Yo Hiccup!” shouted Elf. “You’re missing out on all the great food! You’ve gotta try Clarabelle’s Apple Pie!”.

“Hey-don’t shove the whole thing down your throat!” Hiccup shouted as he returned to the party. The scenery zoomed out to reveal the entire castle, then the Phantom Blot circles around the castle twice before flying by and ending the scene.
